Hi, and welcome to A Work From Home Life! I started this blog because I wanted to be able to reach out and help people who are struggling with their finances, searching for some creative ways to save a little money every month, looking for ways to make a little extra money on the side, or start their own business and live the work from home life.
I’m Nathan, and I’ve made it through some pretty tough financial times. There were times when I lived on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches so my children could eat better. I’ve scrimped and saved every penny I could hoping to make life a little better. I tore my expenses apart looking for ways to save a few dollars every month. Every once in a while I would take on a second job just to make sure all the bills got paid. I searched for a long time trying to find a way to take control of my life and my finances so I could actually LIVE my life.
That’s how I got started with blogging. I heard about other people making money on the internet, and started looking into how I could do it, too.
At first it seemed like an impossible task. I had no real computer skills. I knew how to type, send an email, and search Google. That was it!
Not only were my computer skills lacking, but there was so much bad information out there it became very discouraging. Every time I thought I found an honest program that would teach me how to make money online it turned out to be a poorly written outline that didn’t explain anything.
So what did I do?
I kept working, and I kept searching.
And just about tore my hair out!
I didn’t understand any of it!
The internet itself seemed a good place to find information on how to make money on the internet, but like I said, there’s a lot of bad information out there.
So I got really good at separating the scams from the programs that could actually teach what they claimed.
While all of this working and searching and separating was going on, I also learned a lot of ways to save money. Some of them were so obvious I kicked myself for not seeing them sooner. Others I had to get a little creative with. But in the end I managed to learn to save enough that I didn’t have to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for every meal.
After figuring out how to save some money here and there to make ends meet, I did some more reading and learned how to budget so that I wouldn’t get back into the rut I had been stuck in for so long.
A little more searching uncovered some interesting ways to make a little extra money on the side. Some of it was online stuff. There were also a few offline ways I found to bring in an extra hundred dollars a month. And none of them required punching a clock at a second job. They were all things I could do here and there in my free time just to make a little extra.
For More Information:
It took a while, but I finally found several real ways to make an honest living online. Don’t get me wrong. I didn’t go from making a little extra money online to a full-time income overnight. It took time, and it took work.
But now I get to live a work from home life, and I love it!
My life is finally mine. I get to decide what I do with my time. I get to decide when and where I’ll work. I even get to decide what I will work on!

That freedom is a truly awesome feeling. And that’s why I started this blog. My other blogs were built with the primary focus of making money. Yes, I got to help people along the way with those blogs, but they were each a very narrow focus.
My goal with A Work From Home Life is to help everyone that I can live a more comfortable life. Maybe that just means giving out some ideas on how to save a little money each month, or to set up a budget. Maybe it means showing someone how to start their own side hustle for a little extra money on the side, or helping them find their path to working from home full time.
Online or offline, saving money or making money, I want to help as many people as I can, because I know what it’s like to struggle to feed your family. I’ve been there. If I can find a way to dig myself out, so can you. And I want to help.
Again, welcome to A Work From Home Life. It’s great to have you here, and I hope you find the answers you’re looking for. If not, feel free to reach out anytime. Leave a comment below. Send me an email here. I’d love to hear from you.
