Affiliate marketing doesn’t have to be a full-time commitment. If your goal is just to make a little extra money there are ways to put affiliate marketing to work on a smaller scale. Join Facebook groups and promote related bargain buys you find on Amazon. Do you have a large social media following? Promote products related to what you talk about on a regular basis. Find deals on helpful products and put free ads on Craigslist to promote those products. You won’t make a full-time income this way, but you could certainly make an extra couple hundred dollars a month just by finding good deals and promoting them in your free time.

Are you the crafty type? Crafts can be a great way to spend your free moments in between taking care of your current responsibilities. Little crafts that take 10-15 minutes to make, like simple wire-wrap rings or beaded bracelets, can sell for $5-10 on Etsy or eBay. Make 3 or 4 a day in your spare time and you could potentially make an extra $100-200 a week. Not a bad use of your free time.
Do you have an eye for detail? Do you have a strong command of proper grammar and punctuation? You could put that skill to use and make a little extra money for your efforts. Sites like Fiverr and Amazon Mechanical Turk connect people looking for help with people who have the appropriate skills.
Can you spot the weak points in a story and suggest how to make it better? Can you take an awkward transition and make it flow? These are talents that some people would be more than happy to pay you for. You should take a look at FiverUp and Gigbucks.
Do you enjoy writing? Can you take a topic, do some quick research, and write an article between 1500-3000 words? Then there is plenty of work out there for you. Website and blog publishers are always looking for quality content for their sites, and they are willing to pay for content that meets their needs. Check out sites like Zeerk and Freelancer.

A tax preparer can make a very nice seasonal income. Prepare taxes for a couple people every week between February and mid-April. Or go crazy and prepare for 20 people every day! The earnings from this work depend entirely on how much you want to make, and how much time you choose to devote to the work. And you don’t need a degree in finance to prepare taxes. There are lots of courses out there to get you ready to open up shop as a tax preparer.
Are you tech savvy? Can you upgrade a video card? Do you know how to clear out a virus and restore the computer? Can you build a crazy-fast computer to order for a gamer? Then you can set up a nice little side business in a corner of your living room, basement, or that extra bedroom you aren’t using. Throw an ad in the local paper and people like me who can’t tell the difference between a motherboard and a video-card will gladly pay you to fix their computer when something goes wrong.
There is a lot of bad press floating around about paid online surveys, but legitimate paid survey sites do exist. You won’t make a full-time income from surveys, and if you come across a site that says you can, run away! If you just want to make a little extra cash and you have some free time to kill, paid surveys may be just the thing you’re looking for.
Take a look at Swagbucks, InboxDollars, and SurveyJunkie.
